We created words, uttered sounds, then set them to rhyme.
Built Great Walls, Pyramids to test the passage of time.
We charted vast seas, settled continents afar.
Battled through troubles, famine and war.
We split the atom, sent brave souls into space.
We have done much, shaped the world and kept pace.
Lived our lives, though small as it might seem.
What must the future hold if we but dare to dream.

I have been learning a new language. Well, it is not exactly new, but new to me. Ruby is an unusual language in that the syntax is rather light. It also treats all variables and statements as objects. This results in a rather flexible and intuitive coding experience.

Website launched

Well I have finally launched my own website. It is a bit ironic it is taken this long, since I am a web designer. This site is developed using a great tool called Drupal. It creates the framework for the website and then you just customize it and add to it. You don't need to know a lot of programming, but as the tool runs on PHP, knowing that language helps tremendously.

In the past month, I have spent some time with my family camping on the North Shore of Lake Superior. It is a very pretty area north of Duluth, MN. Forests on one side and the lake on the other. I stayed in a cabin as my days sleeping in a tent are over. I don't mind tents, its just the hard ground is not comfortable to me. It was nice spending time with my nephews and new neice Lily.
